​Early Booking: A $250 discount is offered off the first 10 seats booked and $100 off the next 10 until May 24, 2019 
Deposit and Payment: A $400 deposit per person is required within 72 hours of booking or booking may be cancelled.  Full payment is required by June 21, 2019.
Airfare: 
 Airfare has been included at our preferred group rate.  For airfare, space should be reserved by May 24.  After that date airfare at this rate may be limited or tour price with air may be higher.  Should you wish to book your own flights, price will be reduced by $500.  
Price Changes: 
In the event of significant changes in taxes or surcharges by suppliers or local government Mile Zero Tours reserves the right to increase price up until the time of departure.   
Cancellation policy: 
Full refund less $50 per person admin fee if cancelled before May 24, 2019 from May 24 to June 21, 2019 non-refundable amount increases to $150.  After June 21, 2019 only 40% is refundable and after July 22, 2019 only 15% is refundable.  There are no refunds offered after August 12, 2019.  We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance as Mile Zero Tours cannot issue refunds, no matter the reason, beyond the scope of the above-mentioned policy.

Day 1 – Monday August 26, 2019 – Victoria – Portland, OR 
This morning depart Victoria’s Inner Harbour aboard the Coho Ferry for Port Angeles, Washington. Once docked, and after a brief stop for lunch, climb aboard our deluxe motorcoach and travel across the lush green forests of Washington State. After crossing the mighty Columbia River we arrive at our destination the cosmopolitan and eclectic city of Portland. Check in at the Heathman Hotel nestled in the heart of Portland’s downtown core. Tonight get ​to know your tour director and fellow travellers at a welcome dinner.

Day 2 – Tuesday August 27, 2019 – Columbia River Gorge 
This morning explore the awe inspiring Columbia River Gorge. Begin the day with panoramic views high above the river at Crown Point and Vista House before descending the highway’s famous loops. After a photo opportunity at picturesque Latourell Falls pass by many other splendid waterfalls before arriving at Oregon’s most famous – the 600 foot Multnomah Falls. Next visit the Bonneville Dam before returning to Portland along the river level route first followed by explorers Lewis and Clarke. Enjoy the continuously unfolding spectacular scenery before arriving back in the city in time for a free afternoon.

Day 3 – Wednesday August 28, 2019 – Portland – Lincoln City, OR
This morning begins with a full Portland city tour conducted by a local expert. Visit the International Rose Test Gardens and view the historic architecture while you learn of the diverse history of Oregon’s largest city. The tour concludes in time for lunch before we leave Portland behind and make our way out to the Oregon Coast. Next stop is Lincoln City which will serve as our home for the night. After tonight’s included dinner perhaps you’ll take a stroll down to the sandy beach only a few minutes’ walk away.

Day 4 – Thursday August 29, 2019 – Lincoln City to Coos Bay, OR
After breakfast we continue our journey now heading south down the Pacific’s famous Route 101. Enjoy views of the spectacular rocky shoreline as we climb and descend along the route.  Learn about marine life in the area during a stop at the Sea Lion Caves where an elevator ride takes us deep inside the cave these massive creatures call home. Back on the road, more mesmerizing scenery awaits as we continue down the Oregon Coast. Next stop is Florence where the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area begins and a dune buggy tour with a knowledgeable guide will not only be informative but exhilarating as well. Next stop is Coos Bay our home for the next two nights. Tonight enjoy dinner in the company of your fellow travellers.

Day 5 – Friday August 30, 2019 – Coos Bay, OR
This morning we take some time to explore the Coos Bay area and more of Oregon’s rugged coast. Learn about the town’s history during a visit to Shore Acres State Park which was once the estate of pioneer timber baron and town founder Louis Simpson. Now the park features both natural habitats and beautiful formal gardens. As we travel the Cape Argo Highway stop to view the Cape Argo lighthouse that has been lighting the way for mariners since 1866. During a leisurely afternoon enjoy a stroll along the boardwalk or perhaps you’ll visit the Coos Art Museum –one of the best in the Pacific Northwest or try your luck at the local casino.

Day 6 – Saturday August 31, 2019 – Coos Bay to Eureka, CA
After departing Coos Bay this morning we leave Oregon behind and cross the state line to enter California. As we pass by expansive sandy beaches with rocky outcroppings that are home to colourful tidepools watch out for the bobbing heads of sea lions and diving seabirds. Leaving the coast behind for a bit the road leads inland and into the shadowy redwood forest of Del Norte Coast State Park. In Klamath stop and see these giants up close at the popular roadside attraction, Trees of Mystery.  Here you can ride a gondola through the tree tops and get a once in a lifetime perspective of these giants or perhaps you’d like a photo with the 49 foot tall famous American woodsman Paul Bunyan and his faithful blue ox. Continuing south we return to the coast via the Red Wood National Park and pass along the shores of many picturesque bays and lagoons before arriving in the coastal town of Eureka. Dinner tonight is included at a local restaurant.

Day 7 – Sunday September 1, 2019 – Eureka to San Francisco, CA
Leaving Eureka this morning you will travel along a stunning stretch of the Avenue of the Giants, a spectacular road that zigs and zags around the redwoods some up to 300 feet tall. Stop along the route and enjoy a short nature walk amongst these silent giants. Later the scenery changes as you make your way out of the forest and into California’s world famous wine region.  Learn about local wines during a midday winery stop that will include an informative tasting and lunch. This afternoon our journey continues through beautiful Sonoma County before reaching its conclusion at the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. As we cross the famous bridge enjoy spectacular vistas of the City by the Bay. Moments later you’ll be checking into the luxurious Hilton Hotel in Union Square in the heart of the city.  This evening is free for you to explore the many highlights of San Francisco.

Day 8 – Monday September 2, 2019 – San Francisco 
Begin the day with a locally guided city tour. Learn the stories of the City by the Bay from the first Native American inhabitants to the Spanish missionaries and on to the wild days of the gold rush. See Chinatown, Alamo Square with its famous Victorian houses, the Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Park and the famous Haight-Ashbury neighbourhood. The tour concludes on the waterfront near Fisherman’s Wharf where you may choose to hop on a Cable Car for an included ride back to Union Square or explore further independently during a free afternoon. Tonight, a farewell dinner at a popular local restaurant celebrates the conclusion of our travels down the West Coast as we prepare to return home with many memories of the magnificent US West Coast and California.

Day 9 – Tuesday September 3, 2019 – San Francisco to Victoria
This morning we transfer to San Francisco airport and board our flight back to Victoria via Seattle. Arrive back in Victoria around lunch time where a transfer has been arranged to take you back home. Today a light breakfast is included
