Tour Policies:

​Deposit and Payment
: A $400 deposit per person is required within 72 hours of booking  or booking may be cancelled. Full payment is required by June 30, 2017.
Airfare: Airfare has been included at our preferred group rate. For airfare, space should be reserved by June 2, 2017. After that date airfare at this rate may be limited or tour price with air may be higher. Should you wish to book your own flights, price will be reduced by $475.  
Price Changes: In the event of significant changes in taxes or surcharges by suppliers or local government Mile Zero Tours reserves the right to increase price up until the time of departure.   
Cancellation policy: Full refund less $50 admin fee if cancelled before June 2, 2017 from June 2– June 30, 2017 non-refundable amount increases to $200.  After June 30 only 35% is refundable and after August 1, 2017 only 15% is refundable. There are no refunds offered after August 18, 2017. We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance  as Mile Zero Tours can not issue refunds, no matter the reason, beyond the scope of the above mentioned policy. Day 2: Tuesday September 5, 2017 Port Hardy to Prince Rupert 
Early this morning we depart on a spectacular trip with BC Ferries’ Inside Passage day cruise. A fantastic day of cruising awaits as we travel north following the remote northern coast and inside passage route. Enjoy the ship’s modern amenities as you behold the passing stunning scenery around every curve. The journey features isolated coastal villages, remote untrampled wilderness and wildlife viewing opportunities. A well supplied buffet breakfast and dinner are included as is your own private cabin when you need a little break. This unforgettable cruise comes to a conclusion late this evening as we dock in the northern port city of Prince Rupert.  From here a short transfer brings us to our hotel.

Day 5: Friday September 8, 2017 Queen Charlotte City 
Today we visit the impressive Haida Heritage Centre at Kay Llnagaay. Here you will immerse yourself in the Haida culture and history on display in this beautiful location.  The visit will also include viewing the Bill Reid Pole and the remarkable Balance Rock.  A special treat tonight as we attend Keenawii’s Kitchen for a traditional Haida feast prepared and hosted by well known Haida member and chef Roberta Olson.

Day 8: Monday September 11, 2017 Queen Charlotte to Masset
Today we head north toward the village of Masset. Along the way, we make a stop in Tlell and spend some time wandering the small, coastal community. Take time to explore this area that is known for incredible beaches and driftwood, and perhaps visit one of the local art galleries. Later, we continue our travels and arrive in Masset, one of the larger fishing villages in Haida Gwaii, known for the beaches, hiking trails, and incredible bird watching.

Day 3: Wednesday September 6, 2017 Prince Rupert 
After a leisurely morning, we explore the port city of Prince Rupert as we take a tour of this travel and transportation hub. Later we venture to the North Pacific Cannery and tour the National Historic Site which showcases the history of the area’s industries and the significant contributions to the development of British Columbia.

Day 9: Tuesday September 12, 2017  Masset
Today we take a tour through the northern coastal village of Masset where a local guide will lead us and share the history, culture, and sites throughout. Stroll along very popular beaches like Agate Beach and North Beach, see the totem poles in ​Old Massett, and explore the incredible sites of Tow Hill and Naikoon Provincial Park. Tonight we gather for a  special farewell dinner as we celebrate the conclusion of a once in a lifetime journey along the Inside Passage and Haida Gwaii.

Day 1:  Monday September 4, 2017 Victoria to Port Hardy 
Departing Victoria this morning we travel north past the Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo and on towards Campbell River. After a lunch stop we venture into the wilderness of north Vancouver Island arriving later this afternoon in Port Hardy, our home for the night. Tonight join your tour director and fellow travellers for a delicious welcome dinner.

Haida Gwaii and the
​Inside Passage

Gwaii Haanas & Ninstants Tour:

This expedition will bring travellers to the best preserved ancient villages on

Haida Gwaii to experience the rich ecology and history dating back 10,000 years.
A flight will depart from Queen Charlotte City and land at the former whaling station at Rose Harbour. From here, an experienced boat operator will take you on a 20 minute
ride to the village site on Anthony Island. Once arrived, ​a Haida Watchman will guide
you through the village remains which still holds original totem poles and the remains
of longhouses. This tour truly provides travellers with insight to the Haida connection between history, culture, art and nature.

Day 10- Wednesday September 13, 2017  Masset to Victoria
Late this morning we board our Pacific Costal Airlines flight back to Victoria via Vancouver. Arrive home in the late afternoon where a transfer will be waiting to take you home with a life time of memories of the mystical islands of Haida Gwaii and the spectacular Inside Passage.

Day 7: Sunday September 10, 2017 Queen Charlotte City
Today is completely free for you to enjoy and explore the small community of Queen Charlotte City.  Browse the shops, explore the visitor centre or perhaps arrange a private fishing charter or kayaking tour. Or maybe you’d like to join an optional flight tour to Ninstants – the best preserved abandoned Haida Village on the islands (See below for details).

Day 6: Saturday September 9, 2017  QCC – Skedans & Louise Island – QCC 
This morning a short ferry ride brings us to Moresby Island where we will travel the back roads deep into the wilderness before boarding a zodiac to Louise Island on the boundary of Gwaii Haanas National Park and the ancient Haida Village of Skedans. While enroute, be on the look out for the multitude of rare seabirds and other marine species that gives Haida Gwaii the nickname - the Galápagos of the North. Led by a Haida guide explore the legends, history and totems of the village on a short walking tour before joining the group for a picnic lunch on the beach. Return to Queen Charlotte City this evening for a free night.

Day 4: Thursday September 7, 2017 Prince Rupert to Queen Charlotte City
This morning we continue our travels with BC Ferries. This time our destination is the mystical islands of Haida Gwaii, or the Islands of People. Our ferry ride today takes  about 6 hours and has us arriving in the village of Skidegate in the late afternoon. From here a short transfer will bring us to our accommodations in the heart of Queen Charlotte City. Tonight we gather for dinner in Queen Charlotte City.
